In the Roman Colosseum – Rome

The Author

My name is Favio Mazzola, I am 32 years old and I consider myself to be a citizen of the world. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I decided to study Hospitality as a career, after studying Natural Science and Tourism. I think that working in a hotel gave me opportunities that other jobs would not have given me, for example, getting out of my daily routine, being able to interact with people from all over the world, and best of all, the possibility to work abroad.

I must admit that I have always been passionate about traveling. To be able to interact with people, cultures and customs different from one’s, to know places that you only imagine in your dreams, and to nourish the soul to grow as a person. Despite all this, it was not until 2010 that I decided to make my first big trip. Alone, to Europe, for a month. The challenges were enormous, and I had so much uncertainty with what I could find, but it is always nice to go far, and  if you do it alone even better, the reward will be immense. That trip ended up awakening in me that inner traveler that we all have, and traveling became an addiction.

A year later I was returning to Europe, quitting my job, but this time for two months and accompanied. It was, by far, the best experience of my life so far. Throughout this trip, the idea of expressing all my experiences and helping other travelers, dreamers like me, to get to know the world became even stronger. A year later “Un Argentino por el Mundo” was born.

In September 2014, I traveled to New Zealand with the Working Holiday Visa to work and travel there for 1 year and 3 months. An experience that I would recommend to anyone. It changed my life forever. There I lived thousands of moments, I created many beautiful memories and I made a family of friends that will always be with me. It was undoubtedly the beginning of a new lifestyle based on travelling.

In 2016 I decided to live in Australia for a year, a country with a very different culture from the one you could find in Argentina and that undoubtedly has much more to offer than beaches, kangaroos and koalas.

The trip continues, the world is huge and the opportunities infinite. I want you to travel with me, through my stories, to those places that you have always dreamed of and I hope one day you can make that trip / dream come true.
